I am a painter, sculptor, feminist, and activist, and I create social dialogue.

All humans feel pain. Pain is something that some humans must live with. I live with chronic pain and my art enables me to process these sensations.  Living with chronic pain there is a need to find a means for both rest and near-constant movement. Pain is a form of struggle, and this struggle is a disruptor to how we live our lives. Art is the way I find relief. It is vital to my life.  In my artistic process, I visualize my emotions, the feeling of pain I experience, and the frustration it causes. I move my body when I create but I also explore the ways I move outside of creation.

Pain and suffering exist for every human since pain and life are intertwined. This interconnection is reflected in my work. My art allows me to process my relationship with chronic nerve pain caused by my medical negligence and trauma.

I strive to create works of art that connect with people and leave them empowered. I aspire to leave the world in a better place with my art or at least to move people to talk about how to improve social injustice in their community.
